  • Noteringarna säger att det är mycket gröna toner i vinet, mörka bär, jord, värme.
    Jäkligt gott bara!

  • Wow!
    What an amazing nose.
This is indeed a world class wine from Bolgheri’s finest, and just keeps getting better and better from vintage to vintage, as the vines are getting older.
Nose shows lovely Cabernet Franc characteristics, with green grass, herbs, Tuscan earth, touch of smoke, red berry perfume, flowers, dust and stony minerals.
Palate with dry and dusty both fruit and minerals, red berries, dense fruit, fine wood and a superb acidity.
Superb length and structure, with drying tannins that has started to resolve.
This is such a treat, and the window is open for enjoying this wine now, but I can easily imagine how good this will be 5 years from now.
Has the stuffing to go all the way, and will be even better once it reaches peak.
Still, lovely and my wine of the Le Macchiole flight tonight.
    I love the Paleo Rosso.

  • Limited notes: Decanted 2 and 1/2 hours, due to substantive drying tannins, which somewhat overwhelmed the fruit. Improved in glass. So do not open for 5 years. Window is likely 2018 to 2027.

Även lite peppriga toner i avslutet.

  • To taste the 2007 Paleo Le Macchiole is to experience unique exuberance and robustness that cabernet franc can offer, in a masculine, ripe and surprisingly complex wine. Showing layer after layer of rich scents and flavors, refering to ripe plums, violet perfume, green tea, green herbs, black pepper and green pepper. Earthy notes appear, along with aged leather and spices, maybe menthol, simply mind blowing. Remarkable spicy tanic touch, anaesthetic, that carries on through mid palate and stays for very long. This is a serious and powerfull aftertaste. Drinking perfectly now and built over rispid and intense structure, this medium/full bodied wonder has years and years ahead. 96+

(Le Macchiole Paleo, Toscana IGT) A unique expression of Cabernet Franc (100%), showing lavender and herbal aromas with a trace of eucalyptus. Blackberry, tobacco, and Spanish black olive appear on the palate. Beautifully balanced, though still young.
    Appellation: Bolgheri
