Not my style at all. Undigested oak, lacking much character. It screams “made” but it doesn't have the character or presence to stand up to all that making. Maybe in 10 years something else will develop but don't care to find out.

Medium bodied texture with light almost Pinot like color. Texturally it’s surprisingly smooth with only modest tannin and acidity. At this stage as others have noted the dominate feature is oak. Nonetheless black pepper, smoke and dark cherry. Leans new world style but I would not call this ripe. Unique but needs more time to spark and real intrigue.

This has settled down, not unsurprisingly since my tasting was soon after shipment from Italy. Nose: the wood is more integrated and the ripe CF notes fresh. Less maquillé than before, violets, plums, complex. Taste: light/med body, still q hot on entry and tannic, nevertheless bursts w fruit, plums, cherries, long finish, hot (14.5% ABV), fresh fruit and moderatly soft tannins. Overall, a vast improvement. Admittedly this is a rare bird, but what would one get from the Loire od the Right Bank for the same price? An interesting question.

Very interesting: deep Ruby, somewhat dominated by oak, but lots of black cherry too. Some tobacco. Medium acid and medium tannins. Spice. Medium finish. V good, but possibly overpriced

Med ruby. Heavily toasted. Fresh yet ripe with bitter fruit and oak richness. Touch of sweet spice. FB with Med+ acidity and High tannin, fine.
