If I had tasted this wine blind, I would never have guessed Washington -- it drinks like a third growth Bordeaux. I see several of the notes state this wine is tired, however I tasted 2 bottles in the past 2 days, and neither was tired -- these bottles were purchased on release and stored in the same cellar ever since. So, well stored bottles are doing quite well, though I don't know for how much longer -- drink up.

  Overall a more than decent effort, but nothing strikes me as profound (not every wine needs to be though!)

  Cassis and coffee on the nose. Nice oak, but probably a little past its prime. Very mello, but very little tannic structure.
