HWS Bordeaux 2009 vs 2010 (By me): Dark berries and luxurious oak in the bouquet. Same on the palate, chocolate, ripe dark fruit juice, also red berries, beautifully fresh acidity and round, relatively mild tannin with still a good bite. In its very young maturity stage. Probably even better in 2030.

(Château Lagrange (St. Julien)) Very dark purple red violet color; appealing, herbaceous, menthol, deep black fruit nose; ripe black currant, menthol, tart plum palate; medium-plus finish (75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot)

Erst im kleinen Glas wie zugesperrt, brutal Tanin, rote Säure, ab ins ganz große Bordeaux Glas, macht der nach 30 Minuten richtig auf.

Decanted 2 hours, wine still very young. Wait at least 10 more years.

Tasted this at the Chateau Lagrange Wine Dinner with Mattieu Borders at Famous Treasure hosted by Infinite Supply.
A full nose, packed with dark red fruits, black coffee and tobacco.
A voloptous wine.

A touch oaky at this stage. Darker, brooding and lacking a touch of complexity.
