Decanted and drank over two days. Black fruit and tar, some alcohol burn on the nose. On the palate, medium heavy body, dark compote, medium tannin, not nuanced in the least. Medium compote finish with a slight edge. For a 2010 Margaux, I was hoping for something more than was delivered. Perhaps this will evolve into something with an interesting twist, but at this point, I find it a medium heavy roundish wine without character. If you have some, wait, if you're considering buying a lot, try one out first.

Decanted for an hour, this bottle was absolutely "correct" unlike our last. Creme de cassis, blackberry, loam, graphite, cigar and toast notes. You get the "place"! That's what I ask. If you only have a couple, wait until late 2025 to try (my next then!).

Improved since last tasting. Blackberry compote. Touch of earthy minerals with graphite. Rounded tannins. Long finish with nice balance of sweet and tangy- ying and yang. Punching well above its class.

Opens like a dusty armoire, white oak and old linens, giving way to background of jammy red fruit. Dry, persistent tannins and medium- acidity. Leather strap, sweet tobacco, fruit faded in the background of the medium finish. Average.

Amazing bottle. Closer to 94 than 92. Cassis, blackberry, tobacco, graphite. Medium concentration. Impeccable balance.
