  • 87 375ml half bottle decanted for 1 hour.

Cedar, spice, red cherry, red fruits. Some tar, herb, and iodine notes but only on the nose. Medium towards more full bodied wine. Slight signs of aging inn the color of the wine. Lacks in the midpalate and finish beyond cherry notes.

Very austere and the big tannins are a bit rough on the tongue. Acid is not super balanced either, gives off a sour taste. Nice freshness and lift but the wine seems quite muddled and austere. By the end of my glass, this was starting to open up a little and become more smooth. However, on the 2nd and 3rd day, this seemed to sputter out. Overly austere, bottle variation, or not ready.

  • at this stage way too young, but I have to admit that I still like the young, fresh and vibrant expression that this wine gives at this stage.
Dark berries, cassis, pencil sharpener, minerality, strong tannins and good acidity.
Got better and more round after about 2 hours in the bottle.
This one has a long life ahead with upside potential.

  • One hour decant. Deep dark, slightly hazy magenta color. Blackberry, raspberry, minerality, and subtle cinnamon scone. Smooth, dry palate, with fine, tongue coating acidity. Full, lower intensity tannins on the longish finish.

  • Opened at AirBnB in St. Emilion. Faculties still a bit degraded due to a head cold. Young appearance with purple highlights. Forward, fruity, floral nose. Silky-smooth impression in the mouth, with black fruit coming out in the end. Saving the rest for tomorrow.

  • Wonderful wine. Rich dark fruit, cherries and raspberries with chocolate. Medium tannins. Some spice and tobacco. This bottle was a splurge for me. It was worth it. It was great with dinner and still was nice to sip alone. Will seek this out again.
