Deep black scarlet colour. Nose of camphor, mint, charcuterie, flowers and ripe stems. Blue fruits and brambles (more stems) Palate similar with typical Farr density of fruit and extract. These wines are super concentrated. Lacks a little in perfumed aromatics but exotic (did I mention stems yet?) and packs some punch. A polarising style. Day 2 finer with the acidity more pronounced and more food friendly. Leave for 2023

Black fruits, stems, and a savoury complexity like smoked meats. Palate is medium-full. Fruit and stems, stems and fruit. Integrated oak and tannins lead to a fine, long finish. Quite Burgundian in nature.

A ripe and full Pinot with lots of smoky, meaty complexity. Packed with dark red fruits, spice and some forest twigginess and undergrowth. Great mouthfeel, smooth and textured but just lacks a little elegance, although I think that is largely a style thing for By Farr than a real fault.

Stylish pinot, with brambly character, some astringency and herbal notes

Initially closed and not overtly perfumed but long finish and well balanced.
