Seriously good. Blind I would probably have picked it as a classy Puligny-Montrachet or a Corton Charlemagne, definitely not a Meursault. Drunk over two evenings. Under screwcap. Flinty reduction followed by wet limestone and granite, lemon and lime citrus, spicy, toasty oak (I understand matured 12 months in 32% new French 500 L puncheons), rock melon, nuts and oatmeal. On palate, rich and full. Powerful across the mid palate. Still, it's elegant and refined. Blanched almonds and cashews, lemon and lime juice, oyster shell, peach, nectarine and a touch of baking spice. Well delineated and taut. Racy acids. Quite mineral. Still a little strict and austere, at its core. Just beginning to develop some secondary character, starting to uncoil. Long, bone dry finish. Excellent. Drink over the next 10 years or so.

Really young and quite tight, but showing some nice complex flavours already, some mealiness helps give it a lovelytexture in the mouth and a long finish. this will be a cracker if I can keep them long enough

A business dinner (Restaurant Aan de Poel **, Amstelveen, NL): Fresh and mineral style, 12 months new oak completely absorbed, citrus fruit, lovely tension and intensity.
