Decanted about two hours. Red fruit, olives, dry herbs and raspberry with a gamey finish. I liked this, but others seemed to like it a lot more, including my wife.

Monthly Tasting Group: All the Rhones (A - Side Public House, St. Paul, MN): Very dark red/purple color. Small pour. Dark fruits, slightly herbal, young, leather, cassis, aromatic with hydrocarbons, and a mix of red berry jam on the nose. The nose is better than the palate now, deep and earthy, savory, red fruits, more medium plus in weight, but with really grippy tannins. Lots of potential here, and quite fun now. 93-94pts.

Rhone Rumble w/ JKW; 1/22/2021-1/23/2021 (Old Home of Woodward): Blind I flipped this with the first wine in the flight. The Juline seemed like a Hermitage and this seem more CdP'ish. More elegant than stern, with black cherry, meat, recently turned soil with underbrush and iodine. Not sure this improves a ton, now-2026

One of the worst values in my cellar. Unremarkable, muddy wine. I like ‘dirty’ wines but this one is like eating a dirt clod dissolved in Kool-Aid.
