Simple but elegant: woody (nothing specific), red fruit, dark cooked plum, soft cooking spices. Medium bodied. Tannins are soft. Opened up quickly. Probably won't improve much with cellaring. Good vintage for Cap de Faugeres and ok value at $10 USD for 375ml. 88-90

This is about the third bottle we have tried, and the best. Popped and let it breath about an hour then tasted. It has a fairly faint but pleasant nose. Medium red fruit, plum and a little spice followed by lively tannin and subtle but durable after taste. Lighter on its feet than a CA red and nice with food. Very nice!

Popped & poured. Blackberry and raspberry with an underlying earthy quality. Black currant and ripe raspberry flavors. Rather enjoyable now, but give it an hour in a decanter to wake up.

Dark red colored, licor in nose and taste. A strong, vibrant wine. Needs to be decanted. Nice!

One of the weaker vintages of this wine. Not bad, but has less stuffing than others.
