Conflicted about this one - it barely lifts itself up above the generic NZ Pinot profile at first, with a touch of plump fruit, berries and cherries. Some celery salt peeking through. However, on day two this has tighten up a touch and the fleshy fruit has faded away, revealing more austere notes. A touch of caramel on the finish. Not bad, but I'd struggle to recommend it over the Escarpment or Quartz Reef wines.
