New Zealand Trip; 2/10/2024-2/24/2024: This apparently is produced by the Te Kairanga team. Dark color. More earth and smoke on the nose than the 2020 Runholder. Lighter weight and touch than that wine, but still outsized for a Pinot. Candied cherry fruit and a good bit of soil running through it. Becomes more fragrant as it goes. A step up compared to the Runholder, but still a hedonistic New World style that lacks subtlety and grace.
