Similar rating as the 18, but for me a wine more to my preferences.
More harmonious and small, darker, fruited than the 18.
Just as long and complex too, but with more elegance and less sweet, confected feel.
Really opened up in the glass over a couple of hours to show all the spice and stem complexity Pinot from these parts are known for.
A steal at First Choice on clearance.
Surely when makers distribute though the big guys they factor in the brand damage of exit?
I bought the 18 on deal for $50 at first choice. Then it was found for $30 at some Vintage Cellars stores (sold out near me). A friend then found this for $20 at First Choice which is a sibling to Vintage Cellars.
When the big guys drop a product, its brutal.

Color: vivid purple red, light edges, deep color Nose: slightly musky, Parmesan cheese, ripe cherries, slightly alcoholic on the nose Palate: still quite tight even after some air but expected for the age. Sour cherries, red fruit, somewhat herbal. Still very tannic finish and could use more balance but that will likely come with time, missing some balance.
