Village Burgundy at 67PM (67 Pall Mall, London): Nose is a touch reticent, showing red fruits, earth. Medium bodied, red fruits, spice, earth, some savour, fresh acidity, good length finish. A touch elusive but shows plenty of promise.

Wow. What a nose! Dark soils, flowers, and oaks just hit you on the face. Soft and fine tannins, almost easy drinking. Sweet dark fruits. Not a lot complexity nor very long but excellent balance. Oaks lingering at finish with no trace of alcohol. ABV 13%. Delicious young Burgundy and wide open at the moment. If this ever develops more complexity, going to be one heck of village wine. Apparently vines here are more than 90 years old. Buy more? Definitely.

Superb village wine. Awesome palate presence from start to finish. Structured with so much more to go. Finishes well.
