Three years since I last checked in on the QPR all star. Still drinking super well, if a bit more closed than the last bottle. Sour apricot, tart plum, frangipane, pastry cream, and marmalade mounted onto a full bodied structure of mineral and sweetness, with a super lush texture finely balanced by mouthwatering acid. I think this probably needs another 5 years to enter the secondary phase, and it’s quite possible that this lives to the age of 40 with ease.

from 375ml. A perfect foil for Creme Brule. No detailed notes, but the orange marmalade character was somewhat predominant. Also, lots of stone and tropical fruits. Good balance on the med-to-long sweet finish indicating good potential for further aging. 91-92

Very good; the orange is more pronounced in this vintage than some others (RL was an orange grove before it was a vineyard). Very good pairing with a creme brulee w Grand Marnier.
I thought it was a little better (more integrated) on the 2nd day.

The type example of Sauternes for this age. Just wonderful on colour, nose and palate.
