  • German white wine from Mosel: Riesling. 7,5 % alcohol.

AP number #01 15. 750 ml bottle. Consumed over two days. Each half of the bottle was decanted separately per evening and stored in the decanter during the evening of consumption.

    Pale golden/greenish color.

Delicate, sweet and fresh aromas of candied pears, brioche, ripe lemons, bicycle shop, white flowers and minerals. Refreshing, sweet and very powerful flavors of candied pears, ripe lemon, petroleum, yogurt, brioche, white flowers and minerals.

Semi-sweet. Medium body. Medium+ acidity. Excellent balance. Very good structure. Good complexity. Excellent concentration. Very intense. Pure. Airy. Rich.

Very long finish with lemon and minerals.

Day one: An extremely enjoyable Auslese. A liquid version of a summer day at Capri or Hvar. Refreshing, concentrated, airy and intense. More than enough acidity to balance the sweetness. Performs best fridge cold. Improves with air. Excellent with Thai food (green curry with shrimps). 10 years old? No signs of age here, can probably last for an eternity in anyone’s cellar. Absolutely delicious. 97/100

Day two: Riper but also less intense and vibrant. 96/100

  • What a fabulous wine, the acidity perhaps is less prominent than one might think, rich in aromas and complex yet always of great purity.

Che vino favoloso, l'acidità forse è meno in evidenza di quando si pensi, ricco nei profumi e articolato ma sempre di una grande purezza.

  • Brilliant nose of peaches and tropical fruits and ripe apples. Great acidity. Drinking wonderfully, but no rush.

  • Appeared that the bottle may have leaked, so decided to open it, just in case, but it turned out to be in excellent shape and showed impressively. Floral, citrus and mixed peach notes on the nose. Between medium and full bodied (7.5% ABV) with intense white and yellow peach upfront. Mid-body is stellar with yellow peach, mango, pineapple, passion fruit and other mixed tropical qualities. There's a streak of vibrant, almost electric acidity through the middle that intensifies towards the back, providing the needed support to the fruit. There's only a touch of sweetness peeking through the acidity now, the rest is simply richness of fruit. Minerals and floral notes through the lengthy finish. This wine is only getting started and should continue to improve over the next 5+ years with many years beyond that at a high level.

  • Bright golden yellow.
Elegant nose: dried grape, cedar, almonds and mediterrean shrubs (Thymus)
Sweet, but well balanced by minerality and acidity. Light body. Closing on candied agrumes notes.
