Carignano 95% and Bovaleddu 5% from old vines, aged in new French oak for 16-18 months, 15% vol.
PnP at ~16°C. Dark fruits and tobacco with a suggestion of forest floor, on the palate full bodied, smooth tannin, good freshness and a long, spicy finish.
For my taste it is at its peak now as everything fits together, would not wait much longer, I am afraid that it will get out balance as soon as the fruit is fading.

Decanted an hour before dinner. Starts superb with red fruit, a hint of earthy notes, gets some heat with additional air, on the palate full bodied, mellowed tannins and long finish. Needs hefty food to calm down its power, drink now or within the next 3 to 5 years, better not to decant in this stage.

Decanted 3 hours before dinner. Has still improved since my last tasting, red fruit with first tertiary notes on the back, full bodied and a lot of structure, long finish. Very powerful, may miss some elegance but with the correct pairing it is really good, drink now or within the next 4 to 6 years. Good match with lasagne.

Decanted three hours before dinner. On the nose ripe primary fruits (cherry and prune) and tobacco, on the palate full bodied with good freshness and long finish, the high alcohol level (15%) is surprisingly good integrated. Drink now or during the next 4 years.
