  • See previous note. Considerably more fruit-driven than my last bottle (and consequently more to my liking). Still complex and nuanced, but having the sweet morello cherry fruit louder in the mix does it a lot of good. Much more like the wine I remember drinking in Sardinia.

  • Garnet color, dark fruits, earth , toasted, complex, balanced, long finish, very nice wine. Can improve more with time

  • Popped and poured. Deep garnet colour. Very dark and earthy – notes of damp forest floor, raw mushrooms, antique furniture, espresso and liquorish dominate over a sweet morello cherry core. Medium- to full-bodied with good depth and firm structure. I’ve had this wine in Sardinia on a few occasions, and must say I remember it as less “intellectual”. High marks for complexity, but shy away if you’re just after something fresh and fruity to go with your pizza. Hard to judge the ageing potential – while the tannins could use a few more years of polishing, shedding fruit is clearly undesirable.
