Nicely extracted fruit of plums and red cherry with a peppery dimension and a spicy, herbal overlay. Powerful palate with an element of heat and over-extraction, unfortunately. Best paired with some heavy food. Would also double-decant to remove the sediment.

Bit more ripe with plum, stewed blackberry; oak is more prominent than the Rocca Rubia but well-integrated; Ripe red fruits, good lift in back end, soft plush tannins, med + body. Delish high class Carignano from Sardegna. W/Ricardo at Santadi. 91-92
