Still a bit sharp. Fruit are muted and not particularly long. Enjoyable but not great. Possibly can improve with time. Wait a couple years before trying another one

Opaque purple color turning garnet at the rim with a reflective edge. The nose gives off attractive aromas of seared meat, pain grille, smoked black fruits and exotic spices. The palate is full-bodied, creamy in texture with underlying acidity that carries black currant and toasted fig with secondary flavors of dark cola, vanilla, and black river stones. This is quite delightful and stands up to grilled meats, especially lamb. Finishes with adequate length on silky tannins with hints of graphite, clove, sage, rusted pipes and black pepper. Drink now with a 1-hr decant or from 2021 to 2037.

Moster wine that still needs time to reveal itself. Opened 2 hrs before drinking it. A large fruit, perfume tobacco and oak driven nose. Great mouth feel but huge dense wine with many layers or fruit still not being revealed or hidden by the dense over lay of fruit, vanilla and spice. An excellent wine showing why gsm out of the Barossa is so well recognised and loved

From a restaurant list, this was a lovely choice. Needs decanting, and while a big wine, there is purity and freshness here too. Ripe blackberries, blackcurrant, and plums, with touches of black pepper, roast meat, and mint. Lush and powerful, but definitely in balance and wears its alcohol very discreetly. Lacks the artificial acidity I get on some Aussie wines of the same style, and was wondrous with venison. A lovely example of a stylish and balanced big punchy red.

2.5hr decant. Dark and brooding appearance but much mellower and more integrated than its looks! Perfect balance between concentrated ripe fruité Grenache and smokey Syrah with some spicy notes emerging from the core. Full, balanced and rounded with a long dry finish. At the start of a long plateau with the structure to evolve and quite probably improve further over the next ten tears or so. 91+?+
