Even considering the price point of $50, this is mundane with nothing to recommend it. There is no facet of this bottle that supports a tenable argument that it is anything other than pedestrian. I would say "drink now", but am leaning towards "drink never". The "87" was generous.

We were nervous opening this one, having discarded the previous one two years ago. Great smell upon opening, but quite austere the first half hour or so. But then it opened up beautifully over the course of the evening, mellowed out, and became quite delicious. The typical cab taste was mixed with a more acidic style, but overall a very enjoyable wine now. The wine probably lasts a few more years, but may be at its peak now. We have one more bottle to drink at any time.

I drank a bottle of this a year ago and thought it was a really nice well balanced wine in its prime. Opened a second tonight and it hasn’t lost anything. Probably still has several years of prime window left.

Not as enamored as I was several years ago. May be past its prime. Fairly smooth but fruit fairly bland.
