Still drinking we’ll despite its age and hearing that it might be in decline. A little thin to start but after a few hours started to add some depth to it. Maintained some minerality, minimal fruit notes though. Would suggested drinking if you have it!

Past full maturity, but there was still some gas left in the tank, which delivered a medium-bodied wine loaded with dried flowers, tobacco leaf, red cherries, herbs, and truffle. Soft in texture, with a plummy edge on the palate, no decanting is warranted here, just pop, pour and let it rip before the fruit continues to fade. Drink from 2022-2025.

Opened with a friend sitting on a porch on a lovely spring afternoon and this was just perfect. My favorite of the day which had a few nice wines. This still had a hint of the fruit although it was definitely more in the secondary style. Drinking really well. Pnp and it was ready to go. Too bad we just had the one bottle.

Lots of richness and depth. Initially quite a fair bit of chocolate but then softened up to show earth, mushroom and a little bit of lingering sweetness on the palate. Cork delicate but was able to hold up these almost 40’years!

a bit disappointing! This wine is not holding up as well as the 1966! Base neck fill. cork in good condition. Not decanted given the signs of aging. amber rim showing more age than it should have... The tannins are completely gone and the fruit has started to dry up. It still has some nice aromas, mostly on the earthy and spicy side. This will not hold up much longer.
