Light color -- if you have only a little in the glass, you might think you were drinking a rosè, but this wine has a lot going for it. It has the nose of a great pinot noir -- I can't quite place it, but I don't mind spending time trying to find out ... The payoff on the palate isn't quite there, but that's only because the aromatics of this wine make you expect you are about to taste a top burgundy. Instead you end up with a damn good, and perfectly aged, Oregon pinot from the folks that brought you Oregon pinot in the first place.

Light ruby with a bouquet of mineral and earthy tones with some cherry after it opened up. Well balanced and elegant, with persistent minerality on the palate. A lovely wine.

Solid little Oregon Pinot Noir. Had a little bottle funk going on upon opening that blew off so you might briefly decant before serving. Lots of bright red cherries and berries. Alcohol in check. Good acidity. More of a traditional Oregon Pinot Noir. Let's call it WIML88 points for the moment. Drink or hold.

I love Eyrie's wines. This bottle, however, was off. Motor oil smell. Bitter. Undrinkable.
