  • A bit more tannic than last bottle. Good red raspberry and cherry fruit. Excellent acidity. Deeply satisfying nose. Moderately long finish of red fruit and rock. Didn’t fully integrate over the evening.

  • Wonderful depth and savory flavors amidst a more linear frame. Better than last month’s bottle.

  • Popped and poured then followed for several hours. Darker ruby hue. Nose of fresh cut berry, violets, dense earth. Layers of dark raspberry, red plum, and black cherry on the palate with light application of iron particles and brambles. Ample acidity and structured tannin. Longer finish of lush blue fruits, iron, and slow grip. Just coming out of primary state, and beginning to develop complexity.

  • This is the estate pinot. Stood up for 2 weeks and decanted off fine sediment. Really came all together about 2 hr after decant. Now almost 3 h after decant. Heady enticing aromas of cherries and raspberries mixed with broth sous bois, hint of anise, and bark. Palate has high toned red and black fruits, bark, and a hint of brothy sous bois leading to a nice finish of fruit and medicinal bark flavors. Medium weight but elegant. On its way to secondary development. Should have held on to this for a couple more years to be fully into its secondary phase. Lovely drink nonetheless.

  • This was great with roasted salmon and veggies. Not as complex as other Eyrie vintages but I'm enjoying the brightness, lightness, on this weeknight.
