Can’t get much better QPR than this. Paid 17.55 on WineBid. A Cabernet dominated left bank Pauillac for under $20?! Decanted for 2 hours. Served at cellar temp. Medium body. Dark red cherry fruits, cassis, hints of pencil shavings. Lovely medium tannins with refreshing acidity. Balanced perfectly. Really developed after decanting for a few hours. Drink now.

Decanted for two hours - blackcurrant, vanilla and spice. Tannins firm but not rough, greenish feel, rich blackcurrant fruit persists with balanced more austere ending. Perfect with food. May well develop further.

65% Cabernet Sauvignon 26% Merlot 9% Cabernet Franc
Great perfumed quality, something woody and exotic but fresh and crisp. Good depth, feels ripe and has a very classic line of graphite and an exotic feel to the wood. Sandy and warm, perfumed with lovely purity and some richness. Cassis, black raspberry, a touch of leaf.
Medium bodied, feels fresh and has a classic leanness, a leafy touch and some fine chalky tannins with red fruit highlights.

Beautifully structured claret - still fruit-dominated (blackcurrant and bramble) but with smoke notes beginning to emerge. Dark Ruby in colour; the tannins have smoothed out; it has good length. No doubt it will continue to evolve over a number of years, but this is how I like my claret (just six years old). Delicious .

Dark red. Aromatic bouquet. Paulliac character on the nose. Blackcurrent, dark cherry, potpourri of dried flowers, savoury, autumn forest. Youthful firm tannins and acidity. Good length. Lingering finish. Soft approachable style.
