This was an outstanding bottle. Beautiful amber color. A big, ripe and rich wine. Viscous. Like drinking liquefied apricots. It carried the 15% abv well. Went great with Red Pork Posole. The sweetness of the wine cut the heat of the Posole.

Stored in a climate-controlled cellar since purchase upon release. This was in a good place. It wasn't corked, but there was a "woody" element on the nose that never completely dissipated. Beyond that, the bouquet exhibited a lovely ensemble of honeyed, tropical fruits (orange, apricot, and peach), followed by a dense (almost viscous), oily textured mouthfeel loaded with rich and ripe expressions of the same fruit. It was fairly dry, but the richness to the fruit coupled with the 15% alcohol (which was never too prominent) lent a certain sweetness on the palate (though not in terms of residual sugar) which contributed to the impressive length on the finish. As other tasters have noted, it is relatively low on acidity, but that did not detract too much from the experience. It's drinking well! I'd say there's no immediate hurry, but I'm not sure how much better it'll get...

Golden yellow. Orange marmalade, ripe golden delicious apples. Ginger and baking spices on the finish. Sweet, but lacking much balancing acidity. This was great with dessert tonight, but I'd drink these sooner than rather than later.

I bought these a long time ago, but failed to enter them in CellarTracker. This first bottle may have been a bit off. It was pretty dark amber and had a bitter finish. Prior to the finish, this had nice tropical fruit, with some sweetness balanced by the acids. I hope my second bottle is better.
