Ruby, clear, nice robes. Powerful bq w strawberries, lingonberries, leather. minerals, slight oak. Fine tannins, plenty of acidity, medium body w plenty of red fruits (strawbs, cherries). Elegant, good balance. Complex aftertaste, fairly long, again w a surprising amount of fruit. Peaking now, but will undoubtedly last a few more years.

pleasant enough pinot from an excellent year in Martinborough. Have drunk this wine over several years and it is clearly in decline. Fruit is thin on the finish. Past its prime

Decanted for 2 hours. Good clarity, a bit of fruit with secondary musk & spice on the nose. medium weight on palate, again some fruit with spice notes and a bit of forest floor which developed A bit with each glass. Good length. A good but not great Martinborough which is just past its best now.

The best old wine of the bunch. Sustained color. Acceptable on ruined palates

Wine Education Service - New Zealand Pinot Noir (Imperial College): Fruity, oaky, youthful - but undistinguished nose.
Fruit, tannic, good balance, very accessible now but needs time.
