Cherry, pomegranate, dried rose, kirsch, bramble on the nose. On the palate the wine shows a primary red fruit, and slightly green quality, nice acid structure, tannins a bit rough, an underlying coffee note with slight bitterness. Overall, good concentration, slight imbalance in the alcohol. A good wine.

Has the savory fuit character and a little bit over savory for it. So on the palate, again savory, and maybe a little bit over the hill for it. An unpolished gemstone I am being told. So with the purchase from Torbreck they got a whole lotta cash injection. The most athletic of the pinots, less robust here, quite sinewy, well structure.

Very nice pinot noir.
Smooth, balanced and not too acidic.

Pinotpalooza (Carriageworks, Redfern): Berry, meaty, wild ferment and wood glue. Medium plus intensity acidity, talc textured tannins, muted fruit. Meh.
