Well, worth waiting. Now a very interesting NZ PN. Classical "big" Martinborough style. Deep ruby, slight browning to rim. Nose of beetroot, blackberrries and some violets. Lovely rich taste though definitely closer to fine N Rhones than a Burg. Dark blackberry fruits, earthiness, beetroot, florality, cranberry and black cherry. But nicely resolved and still a bit of a tannic bite. Medium length. Highly enjoyable (if you like this sort of thing, and I do).

Opens with a big, fat, sweet nose packing some lovely smoky notes into the bargain. Just a little sulphuric on opening. The palate is silky and effortless with ripe strawberry fruits matched confidently with some bitter, earthy tones on the midpalate. The finish is very long albeit a but Haribo derivative. You really would struggle to find a Pinot of this concentration, richness and weight in Burgundy for the same money but would you really want to?

Approaching 6 years old but not showing any real signs of development This is a good wine but not worth the price imho A decent enough PN but I was hoping for/expecting much more I've had NZ and Yarra valley pinots as good, and even better for close to half the price of this wine I'd say to drink this now as don't think it'll gain anything from more cellaring

New World style but with good restraint. Juicy, clean and and satisfying.

Deep colour, cranberry and beetroot, savoury and long. Mature, resolved but not in old old. Very enjoyable.
