One hour slow ox. Deep dark vibrant magenta color. Blackberry, spiced plum, violet, pecan, tobacco, slate, chocolate malt, and subtle black pepper. Smooth, dry palate, with nice lingering acidity. Firm, full, medium intensity tannins on the longish finish.
This continued to improve over an hour of drinking. Decanting for an hour or so is advisable. It’s got a good balance of fruit, sweetness, and earthiness (something for everyone). Very nice birthday gift from my friends Gaelle and Ludo.

An interesting Hermitage. First note was bacon. Dark fruits and some green/vegetable notes (olive and roasted bell pepper). Far from my favorite Hermitage but still pretty good and for around 100$ it's well worth a try

At a recent en primeur tasting. Nose was relatively closed and takes time to open up. Tannins much more obvious than generally for the vintage. Needs at least 5 years. In this price range I preferred their Maugiron.
