  • Nose of lime, flowers,, crushed rock. Round and ripe primary fruit on the palate. Green apple notes. Fantastic high acidity to balance the sugar. Very intense. As hard as it’s going to be, I really need to hold onto these now as it feels like there is fantastic stuffing for long aging.

  • White peach, pineapple, mango and mixed citrus notes on a very complex and lively nose. Medium Bodied (8% ABV) with white peach and white pineapple upfront. Moves quickly into the tropical realm with more white pineapple as well as mango and papaya and backed with tart citrus as well as exciting and lingering acidity. The contrast sets off the mid-body fruit quite well, gives the wine depth through the middle with good definition on the backside. Only getting started and should drink well for many years to come. Next bottle for me, Q1 2024.

  • Beautiful nose of peach, white flowers, hint of chamomile, white pepper, lime, lemon zest - a lot going on. Fantastic tension between the residual sugar and dry, steely minerality - very precise. Long finish with lime zest and stone. A magnificent Spatlese that trades the line perfectly.

  • Popped and poured, and the three of us drained it in thirty minutes. It’s a big Spätlese, and full sweet, such that it feels more like a brisk Auslese, but so delicious. Citrus tinged with mango and pomegranate, that rides along a wave of acidity that stays bright, but always in balance. I suspect that this will be a wine that gains a lot from extended cellaring, but it’s so scrumptious right now I may not be able to resist temptation.

  • Lemon yellow. Faint touch of green. Complex flinty-spicy-citrusy nose. Lovely acidity. Long. Definitely medium sweet. Citrus - lemon mostly, but a faint hint of lime. Aromatic - oily. Spices - almost - mineral/flint - hadn't gone the full petrol yet, but there is traces of it on nose and palate. A touch also of plump (not dried) raisin in the back. Excellent stuff indeed!! Pretty young, but drinking.

I suspect score will go up with age.
