  • Ready to drink with no decanting. Voluminous nose and full mouthfeel.

  • Expressive from opening and got better over the next 90 mins. Nose of plum, currants, red fruit, green pine & woods. Some smoke, reviews say blood and bacon fat - maybe. Rustic, well-integrated tannins, savory, and gorgeous multi-layered finish. After 1.5-2 hours, fruit started fading and became a bit drier and less pleasing. Drink now and enjoy.

  • Surprisingly tannic and rather closed, 2 hours of gentle bottle breathing certainly was not enough for this beast.

I plan to keep my last bottle for 3-5 more years. A year of powerful and tannic as well as broad shouldered and structured wines, this is the excellent 2006 vintage Pomerols.

90% Merlot, 10% Cab Franc. Only 1,000 cases produced.

Nose was restrained with only hints of black fruits, the palate was more receptive with ripe concentrated plums and chocolate with hints of graphite too. Medium finish.

Medium+ acidity, very structured and strong tannins even after all these years.

Dinner in Bangkung with AK and Eugene, welcome home brother Teck Kong.

  • Opened and decanted for one hour. Elegant nose with black fruit and a hint of bubble gum. There is red berries and graphite on the palate with a medium long finish. Very enjoyable wine. It’s peaking but it should hold for a couple more years.

  • In the bouquet dark berries, earth and rustic impressions. On the palate juicy red and dark berries, laurel, some graphite and leather, beautiful acidity. Very beautiful and elegant wine in its drinking window now. No hurry.
