Light golden. This exudes lovely peach and orange peel aromas with lush florality. The flavors are deep, rich, pure fruits with a mineral substrate. Long and lovely finish. From 375ml. 7.5% alc.

Very clean, lots of intense apple flavors, minerals, great zing to it, good balance. Needed another 10 years though, but still enjoyable for a lighter dessert wine.

Very rich and densely sugary. Fat and a bit weighty. Pretty florals and ripe white peaches. Makes for a pretty sweet dessert wine at the moment but needs probably 20 years to really strut its stuff.

(GKA Fritz Haag Br-Juf-Son Aus) Haag GKA Dear Friends, To put it mildly, I’m still tasting this wine almost a week after sharing a bottle with my friends from Toronto, who came to visit and asked for some good Riesling. Little did I know what “good” would turn out to mean. As my only bottle, I could lament it’s departure from this plain of consciousness but the memory was worth multiple cases in the cellar (well, almost). This wine is ethereal, lovely, floaty and so very powerful - it transcends wine and the definitions of what wine can be in that perfect instance when we catch a ray of light at its peak of brilliance. 2006 is one of the all-time Auslese vintages in this area and when they got it right, the wines have 50-100 years of ageing potential - Haag’s upper-end wines are some of the finest he’s ever produced and they fit that definition. In the end, I think further comments are best left for those of you that will ultimately enjoy a bottle of this but there are only 150 bottles left for the US: ” VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED EXTREMELY LIMITED 2006 Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Auslese GKA #9 (375ml) Please give us your maximum number up to 3/person and we will allocate accordingly Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Germ4770

Clean, crisp, balanced. Mostly apple with some pear. Acidity is fresh and cleansing as it should be. Still a baby. And lovely.
