When I taste this wine, the word that comes to mind is claret - the British term for red Bordeaux wine. Ripe red cassis and plum fruit, cedar and tobacco…maybe some leather. It is bright and a quaffable wine. May be a little on the simple side, but it is simple done well. Not an intellectual or wine you ponder, but just pop, pour and enjoy. It is food friendly. Glad to see this 5th growth doing some nice things.

Wow, they have really upped their game at Croizet Bages. This is a beauty packed with layers of supple-textured, ripe, dark red fruits, freshness, silky tannins and a chewy, red berry finish that shows off its purity, leafy herbs, cedar, tobacco and spicy edges quite nicely. Drink from 2025-2045.

(63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, 13.7% Alkohol) Sehr Bordeaux, etwas Pferdestall, Sattel, Teer, Pflaumen, Kirschen. Der Gaumen ist bereits gut zugänglich, da ist merklich Holz mit im Spiel, die Frucht ist reif, jedoch etwas im Hintergrund. Mittlere Länge mit laktischem Rückaroma. Jung geniessen. 2024-2038 (Verkostet am 8. November 2022 in Zürich) www.vvwine.ch

87-89 vvPunkte (63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, 13.7% Alkohol) Feine Nase, dunkle Frucht, etwas Vanillezucker, Kirschen, ätherische Noten die an Rosmarin erinnern, etwas dunkle Schokolade. 2025-2038 (April/Mai 2021)

UGCB tasting Bordeaux 2020 Walkaround tasting so in general just short notes (Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam.): Juicy wine, but green bell pepper and sticky tannin. Pity this wine keeps disappointing.
