Time will do wonders here, red/blk fruit, some firm tannins despite being open for 5-6hrs, lovely balance but needs alot more time to integrate and shed some of those tannins.

Gevrey Masterclass @Sommcellars. From rows top to bottom. Menthol, spices, cigar box and black fruit scents followed by a tad grumpy, full on deep mid palate with impressive but fine structure, ending in a powerful and chocolatey finish. This is impressive for Cazetiers, needs 10 years in a cellar to unwind the richness of the underlying materials. We were told that it was highly reduced and needed a couple of hours of air, so if you open a bottle now, you may want to decant this.

Strawberries, mushrooms, black pepper, chocolate, crushed stone and some oak. Lovely tannins. Young and fresh, yet very rich in taste. Lovely!

Wednesday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Louis Jadot, Faiveley, and Bernard Moreau (Cote d'Or): Barrel tasting at the domaine from a single new oak barrel. Meaty and all back fruit with lots of structure that is ever-present without ever overpowering. Dense, yet balanced. Lots here, I like its 91-93 point potential, 2032 forward.
