Classic young Rhône blend - lighter in alcohol makes it more drinkable than some of its counterparts that are also young. Probably a tad higher priced than it should be at ~$30.

This bottle spent the night half empty in the fridge, which did not harm it, whatsoever. The ripe cherries are still there, but I also get so much garrigue, licorice, pepper, and almost a note reminiscent of olive oil. A true cellar staple!

15% alcohol, ouch. Short cork of just above average quality. The colour is medium. The nose is very lively with quite a spectrum of fruity aromas ranging from dark to red (including strawberry); there is a whiff of alcohol too, but it is not so insistent as to detract significantly from the experience. Similar in the mouth with sufficient vivacity to offset the strapping and unwelcome level of alcohol. For all the skill of the winemaker, I fear that the future of Grenache based wines from the area is bleak because of the inexorable rise in alcohol levels resulting from climate change.

Excellent balance, fruit, spicy mid palate, some garrigue, what else do you need in a cdr? Zero decline day two. Slightly pricey but well worth it! Drinks great now but should develop 5+ yrs. as well.
