Understated, restrained wine with a nose and palate of pretty fruit and white pepper. This is indeed Burgundian in style, yet it is unmistakenly Charvin. Very different from any of the 2003-2007 vintages, but if anything this compares most to the 2004 which took 5-6 years to come around. Great sense of place and at $14/bottle this is a load-up-the-truck wine for a great companion with all sorts of dishes.
