  Popped and poured. Earthy and muddy, with sous bois, plummy fruit and very fine tannins. While it’s enjoyable now, complexity revealed itself with air, which suggests this can still improve with a few more years. Classic, layered and elegant.

  Popped and poured. Surprisingly open and fruit forward. Lovely boysenberry jam on the nose, coupled with earthy notes. Very smooth and silky, lacking a bit of structure to be great but very quaffable.

  Palate: Fine acidity, mouthful of dark leathery fruits, pure and crispy, a medium finish
  
  At a great point to start drinking it if you want a bit of vibrancy, a bit of youthfulness, for those who only eye on the mature claret, I suggest you better wait a bit, say five to eight years perhaps! Cheers

  In a perfect spot, this is a highly enjoyable approachable Bordeaux. Tobacco and blackberry are prominent with the fruit and tannin perfectly balanced. This is not quite matching the 2000 but is not too far behind.
