Deep ruby. Black cherries, black pepper, cinnamon nose. Ripe black fruits with some dried fruit/raisins palate. Enjoyable wine which should improve and drink well for 5+ years.

Belated Celebratory visit to Hawthorn; 3/4/2023-3/5/2023 (Hawthorn): Btg off the list. Purple colour. Good acidity and structure, and peppery youthfulness. If I owned bottles of this I’d be leaving them for a while longer - I think a more basic wine would be giving greater pleasure now.
