This is a wonderfully elegant, classy and persistent Cabernet from Moss Wood. Notes of cassis, bramble jelly, dark plum, milk chocolate, cedar and unsmoked tobacco. The palate is soft and elegant with dark bramble fruits, melting chocolate, oaky notes, polished tannins a soft velvety mid-palate and an elegant slightly rich finish.

Less 'roided' than previous tastings, oaky spice, slight mint/eucalyptus, muted fresh blackcurrant. In the mouth the blackcurrant is very slightly sour and backed by a smidge of red currant, grippy tannins are present but integrated. Long, balanced. Still quite simple but okay.

On the Big end of town.. Riper fruit profile than the last few vintages. Usual suspects of black currant, eucalyptus,.. Sweet dark fruit palate Hmm, no heat, but is ripe-ish Still should cellar well, but maybe not as long as waiting for the 17/18/19 to mature

A lovely wine but it didn't rock my socks as the best Margaret River Cab Sav that I expected it to be.
