  Tasted blind: clearly an older wine with orange cast to it; gorgeous old classic aged tertiary burgundy notes gush from the glass; simply beautiful old red burgundy; elegant and classic! Far superior to previous bottle of this.

  What a great opportunity! This was more oxidized than preferred by the time we tasted it but the material showed so many great layers and richness still! A testament to the wine! Smoke, beef jerky, soy, onion essence, some woodsy antique furniture and pine needles come to mind. The palate shows some softness with a certain sweetness remaining, highlighting the otherwise oxidative notes of honey, caramel and nutty flavors. This is a big wine still!
