Our final wine of the pairing dinner and went nicely with a Boudreaux Blanc poached pear and a crème brûlée. This was big and honeyed and sweet with less nuances than the 1999 Suduirat we drank earlier that night. I expected more from this given the vintage but maybe it just needs more time.
Note: I use a scale on which 85 represents a very good wine.
As suggested by the 90, I found this bottle to be outstanding. Deep rich flavors, a little sweetness, but also some acidity to balance the sweetness. Drank well over 3 days.
A caveat: I am particularly fond of Sauternes so this TN might b a bit generous, but not by much.

Like an aging wine connisseur this wine is rich fat Yellow and fading in character. Totally overshadowed by the 2001. Unctuous probably is the right word for this wine. Hedonistic as well. Drink now.

Outstanding. One of the best bottles of any kind I have in the last few months.
Perfectly aged.
If you like Sauternes -- drink this now!

Color: Medium brown, viscous. Aroma: Fragrant mint, apricot, honey, eucalyptus, prune, figs. Palate entry: Sweet deep honey, concentrated dragon-eye fruit. Mid-palate: Earl gray, fresh juicy dragon-eye fruit, little simple. Finish: Brown sugar, rock sugar, honey, anise. Big bold honey-sweet Sauternes, not nuanced enough.
