Lovely mellow claret from a very average/variable year. Developed hue with a clean unmistakeable Medoc aroma. Relatively soft and balanced palate with resolved tannins. A delight to drink. Will not improve from here. From a bottle with good cork and excellent fill. With the exception of Chateau Margaux, Margaux wines from 1976 seem to have held up well; Boyd-Cantenac in particular.
