  • Magnum, decanted an hour beforehand. Still with us (just?). Dark ruby color, with currants and tobacco on the nose. Drank very well (and there was lots of it!)

  • Drukket til entrecote, stekt sopp, mandelpotetpurre og rødvinssaus.

    Rett fra flasken overveldende eik. I dag bruker de 1/3 nye fat - her må det vært en helt annen rotasjon. Dekantert og luftet i 3 timer; en helt annen vin. Eiken blåste for det meste av. Søte solbær, modne mørke kirsebær, paprikatoner, treverk og eik. Lang, tanninsk - kunne fint latt ligge 5 år til tror jeg. 80% merlot, 20% cabernet franc, tror jeg. Cabernet franc gir her et veldig oppstrammende bidrag og balanserer merlotpreget fint, synes jeg. Vinen har umiddelbart noe jeg tenker på som et "Fronsac-preg".
