Interesting transforming nose after opening. Florals, berries, pepper, bacon fat, toast, grilled meat, charred wood, citrus, tartness with some heat. Palate settles down quickly into a light lean wine with little of the density expected from the nose. Some nice if light fruits, plenty or maybe too much acidity. Big orangey grapefruit finish that always screams big tartric acid additions to me like in Loring pinots. Evidently as I've heard it doesn't integrate as evidenced by this wine. This is not as disjointed as the last bottle but the big citrus stands out from the wine. Works good with dinner but drink up, can't see this gaining much.

Big nose with some heat, slightly aged quality. Pepper on nose as well, little more 'old world' style Grenache nose. Lean character on the palate that is pleasing but also disjointed. Acidity bites some. Wondering if some travel shock as this was only delivered two weeks ago.

OC Virtual Rosella's Syrah Tasting (OC and Virtual For Parker BB): Put into the event (thank you, Cris) at the beginning before we launched into the Rosella's stuff. Peppery nose, starting to brown and brick some with age. Teriyaki, beef jerky nose, which I attribute to the place--it's Garys'. Palate seems a little loamy to me, with some sweet plum fruit.
