Found in the bottom of box of 389...forgotten. Still sound but past its prime. I will let it sit until tomorrow. First mouth was surprisingly good. No ullage, but cork was soft.

Brilliant wine. Classic Cabernet flavours with lots of blackcurrant and other dark berried fruit, tobacco and herbal notes, cedar wood, and an American oak accent that's clearly noticeable but never overwhelming. The balance here is outstanding - it's very polished and graceful on the palate with a wonderful texture and structure mostly integrated.

Indianapolis IV; 3/9/2018-3/11/2018 (Indianapolis, IN): Stunning cabernet -- as good as it comes really. The nose is strongly inflected with American oak, as well as intense green herbal characteristics that add so much character. Very deep fruit flavours here as well, running the spectrum from red to black (but mostly black). There is so much potency and youthfulness on the palate here; the secondary characteristics are but starting to emerge.

A delicious and rare treat - this had a lovely fruit quality and was still going strong after 30 years - very silky and mellow, delicately decayed savoury notes on the nose and an impression of sweetness. Lovely fully mature Cab fruit on the palate - excellent now, no further aging needed.

Decades of Decadence - x6s (Tetsuya's, Sydney, Australia): Vegetable, vanilla, eucalyptus, chocolate and sawdust aromas. The palate still shows plenty of rich fruit, this feels quite young and holding on to its primary sweetness. In a similar vein to a previous bottle around 10 years ago, but much more appealing. Just not sure where it is going with further time, it doesn't feel like it will weaken soon, but I also don't think it will become much greater.
