Nose: The nose is a bit restrained and elegant with violets, dark red cherries, earth notes, leather notes, perfumes, and some cranberries.
Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity with silky, yet refined tannins. The feel is balanced with red cherries, violets, earth notes, and leather notes.
Overall: This is a lovely savigny that is beautiful right now.

Still needs another 5 years. But it should be a stunner. Earth and mushroom notes mingle with raspberry, cherry and minerals. Just a little clenched on the finish. Beautiful stuff though.

Bourdain and Burgundy (Matt's place, Chicago IL): nose: was nice off of pop n pour with a dark base to the tones of dark spices, florals, and dark red cherries with some hints of earth and perfumes. There is nice complexity to this, but it is lacking some depth.
taste: medium body with medium+ acidity and nice tannins still. On the prettier side with a silky feel and tones of dark spices, earthen tones, florals, and some dark red cherries.
overall: I didn't check in on this later like tooch did. So, it didn't fall apart for me. I enjoyed this as it was pretty and coming off as near it's full drinking stage.

Burgundy Monday (SoNo East Apartments - Chicago, IL): This bottle started off nicely with an earthy core, red fruit and spices. After a couple of hours open, the wine definitely showed deep oxidative notes. Not going to score it because of how it fell a part.

(Pavelot Jean-Marc et Hugues Savigny-lès-Beaune Aux Guettes) Similar colour. The fruit is a little diffuse, but the panorama is much wider - even a little coffee. The concentration of the palate belies the colour, though it's certainly a more elegant expression than the 2002 - today.
