Improvement with age continues. Beautiful juice right here. Nose and palate full of the complexity of a fine burgundy. Pretty amazing for a Bourgogne but 2010 likely is a big factor. Patience has paid off in the full development of this wine.

Another great Marty wine find. Great QPR. His description is spot on: It has a spring-time aroma of white flowers, sweet green fruit and whisp of honey. On the palate, it has a similar fruit profile, with citrus cream action and while dry, a hint of honied sweetness. The strong acids keep it clean, fresh, focused and precise.

Big fruit holding and prominent tannins. Developing complexity nicely and drinking great even in its relative youth at 11 years. Pure syrah at it’s finest. Will try again in 5 years but beautiful now with a decant and some air.

Surprisingly unimpressive for price. It is okay but not memorable. Fruit forward and poor balance and length. Maybe a bad year? Second bottle and just not improving with time. Not the Linne Calado I remember. Disappointed.

Exceptional quality in a grand cru... and wow at this price point. Drinking beautifully but still fruit and tannins to go years longer and develop more complexity.

Gaining complexity. Leather smoke earth on nose with addition of black licorice on palate and floral notes. Black raspberries and cherries. Still young.

Medium body and high acidity. Elegant White flower and citrus nose. On the palate primarily pineapple, lemon peel, asian spices, subtle clove, and intense mineral / salinity reminds me of the ocean. Would be lovely with fresh clams or scallops.

Light ruby color and wonderful nose of red fruit, herbs, smoke. Balanced with good acidity and soft tannins. Cherry, strawberry, floral not4s, smoke, forest, leather on the palate. Long finish. Could it improve further with age? Beautiful now.

Great classic Nebiollo. First bottle I opened from cellar and was thoroughly delicious with nice nose and mouth feel, though still young and quite tannic. Wonderful potential to improve with age.

Complete modern Saint Estephe Bordeaux with a bit more oak then I prefer. Excellent fruit. Medium body and balanced. I believe the wine is just coming into its drinking window after 10 years. Tannins are still prominent but mellowing and the wine is just starting to develop complexity. I would guess this will start really shining in about five more years but is excellent drinking right now in its own way if you decant and let it get happy for a few.

Wonderful energy and zip in this bottle with beautiful balance of ripe fruit (I am getting pear, lemon and other citrus), acidity, and minerality, with some nice buttery undertones. Medium body Creamy mouthfeel. Long finish. Impressive Bourgogne.

Well this has changed for the better since my last bottle a few years back. PnP ...Overall more harmonious and balanced with a beautiful nose of earth, tobacco, and smoke with some sweet spices which carries over into the palate with smooth raspberries and cherry fruits. Not getting the sweet honey notes since last taste. Light brick red and light bodied, with nice finish. Tannins much better integrated. Could be entering the sweet spot. Delicious at this price point.

Medium body with florals, vanilla, caramel and minerals on the nose. Citrus ( lime lemon grapefruit ) and apple predominant with forward minerality on the palate with long finish which brings on some creme or Carmel on the finish. Nice. Likely will improve with age but very enjoyable today.

Certainly not past its prime as a previous note several years ago. Seemed in its sweet spot this evening at Restaurant Darsene in Bellagio on the shores of Lake Como. Wonderful nose of leather earth forest floor herbs which carries through into the palate with perfect balance of medium body dark berry fruit with a long long finish. Went perfectly with veal tortellini and shaved truffles and a cream sauce. Really can not find fault in this bottle.

Had to try from cellar to see what’s going on in its youth... Classic medium density Barolo with earthy perfumed nose of wild flowers, forest floor, leather, tobacco, and wonderful complex nose flows into palate with mixed berries with raspberry standing out and balanced by smooth tannins and good acidity. Seems that this will surely only improve over next ten twenty or more years but very enjoyable now.
