Beautiful. I like this quite a bit better than the previous vintage and will get more of this!

Has smoothed some since opening the first bottle on release. Gorgeous. A little grapey but otherwise well balanced. It tastes great but smells even better.

Mmmm. I usually expect these to be ready to go on release, but I think this one will need more time. It has a lot of really nice elements, needs to gel.

Beautiful. Delicate. I love this bottling.

Gorgeous. Alluring and quite vibrant nose. Much more mellow on the palate - beautiful but subdued. Smooth and long. Was actually well matched with Osso Bucco even though it was so subdued. Only a small amount of sediment.

Needed a couple of hours to really shine. On the lighter end of pinots but quite crisp. Strong alluring nose, subtle alluring palate. Longish finish.

Beautiful. I wouldn't call it light bodied, but it is less than medium bodied if that makes sense. Nicely balanced. Very earthy in flavor profile but not strongly pronounced because of its light body. Aromatic. Some (red berry?) fruit. Very long finish that is quite alluring.

Beautiful. While the tasting note is much the same as the last one, this seemed to have an intense beam of fruit flavor after it had opened up.

Wow.

Two notes:
1) this had a lot of sediment, decant for sediment
2) while beautiful, it faded pretty quickly after being in the decanter around the 4 hour mark

This was absolutely fantastic. Smooth and gorgeous right after decanting and consistent until it started to fade. Simply beautiful, aromatic, at this point very elegant, and still quite vibrant.

Wow. Wow wow.

What a fabulous bottle of wine. I've enjoyed every bottle of this I have had, but it's so awesome now. I wish I had a lot more, but it sadly was the last one. Smooth, rich, lots of beautiful mature Bordeaux flavors, mellow, smells good, tastes incredible.

Nice. The nose is very secondary but still tastes much like a young wine. Smooth and long, well balanced.

What a gorgeous wine. I should have cellared this one longer as I imagine it will just keep getting better. But gorgeous tonight. Dark fruit, a little tart, very alluring all 'round with a nice lengthy finish.

I love this bottling. It's delicate in a way reminiscent of Volnay. At this stage quite fruit forward and very crisp.

Tight. Didn't give up much until 2 hours after opening then started to flourish. Both red and blue fruits, lots of earthy flavors, long, smooth, vibrant. Wait on other bottles.

Really beautiful and very Beaucastel. So many things going on here, fruit, spice, earth, all so well balanced, and very long on the finish.

A beautiful bottle that has a lot of strong mineral flavor. Reminds me more of a chablis than anything else, and a beautiful one at that.

Gorgeous. Still some red fruit is pretty and present, but mostly secondary at this point. Lots of earth and mineral flavors. Smooth. Long finish.

What an outstanding expression of pinot. Fruit on the front end and lots of terroir on the finish. It's hard to stop enjoying the nose and start enjoying the palate. A little heftier than the Beaune wines I drink more of. Need to come up with the extraordinary dish to pair with it.

What a beautiful bottle! In a nice drinking window tasting young in its freshness but smooth and well resolved in its maturity. Fairly classic nebbiolo profile if somewhat light on the tar aspects. Nice mineral flavors to it also. Long and smooth.

A gorgeous bottle. Mine seems to be more ready than others making notes here. Classic nose. Well balanced, long, smooth. Really wonderful. Decanted for 4 hours before serving. Lots of sediment.

Wow. Fabulous. Lots of secondaries, but still a very noticeable beam of red berry fruit. Rich, but not sweet or sappy. Long. Smooth. Love it.

Really nice. Seems to be the weightiest of the three '21 Drouhin Pinots I've tried, but still medium bodied. Rich red fruit, a little bit spicy. Long finish that is a bit puckering.

A light style of pinot, reminds me a lot of a Volnay. The nose is very expressive - red fruit (perhaps cranberry?), floral, a little spicy. Light on the palate, not quite getting to the lightness of saying delicate. A little bit towards the ripe end of the spectrum. Delightful.

A stunning bottle of wine - singing on open, extremely aromatic, red fruit, floral, nice mineral flavors, a hint of wild spice, perhaps just a wisp of smoke. Long smooth finish.

What a tremendous bottle of wine! All about the minerals now. Some tar flavors, perhaps some floral, but that might just be the power of suggestion in looking at the label. Very crisp with a long finish. It took about 3 hours to open up.

Burly. Lots of dark fruit, quite concentrated, but even more tar with some nice mineral elements. I was trying to think what I might guess this was if I had tried blind and I think perhaps a very young Barolo, a very young, very big Barolo. But maybe not.

Intensely fruity with less mineral flavors in this bottle. Long finish. Intense is the word I keep coming back to.

Based on previous note, I brought this ought for a steak dinner. While this is not a pairing I would normally think of, the previous note made me think it might be fine, and it was really great! I do like this better with food anyway, but it was quite a complementary pairing!

Extraordinary. Really extraordinary. Very volnay - lots of mineral, medium bodied, robust acidity, smooth, beautiful.

Opened for 3 hours. Did not decant. It had some light sediment.

Quite youthful with lots of red fruit. There is a bit of the tar and roses profile, but it was really dominated by the youthful red fruit. Some minerally hints also. Well structured still. Will wait on this one.

Very delightful!

I need to come up with a strategy to keep my hands off these. Really delicious now but I'm sure they'll get better with some more bottle age.

Very nice, entirely secondary, quite smooth. No sediment to speak of. There are some hints of fruit left, so maybe entirely secondary isn't the right way to describe it :-). Still well balanced.

A tremendous bottle. This is less about the fruit and more about the secondary flavors. The nose is quite floral and the palate is quite spicy. There is some red fruit in both, but it is quite in the background. Well balanced with crisp acidity and a long finish. Delightful.

This was really delightful. Heavy sediment (should be decanted). This wine has older flavors, more secondaries than fruit, but still tastes very young. Some red fruit, a lot of tangy, spicy, mineral flavors, lots of floral scents on the nose, (with some hints of eucalyptus maybe?). The finish doesn't really linger, but is quite pleasant.
