Opened this as the foil had bubbled up and there was some leakage. A bit funky I opened g but whatever it was blew off to leave a great wine! Don’t think there’s any rush to drink these up.

The cork was soaked through as well as the neck showed lots of leaking. Super funky off the start - undrinkable really. After an hour in the decanter this came along beautifully.

This was really fresh still. Lots of fruit on the nose and very balanced. A little sweet for my liking but excellent overall.

Completely totally utterly ignore the drinking window suggested for this wine!!!
Easily the best bottle of the 3 consumed so far yet it still improved after being open a couple of hours. Threw a fair bit of sediment in the decanter and has a beautiful nose of fresh berries and black berries. Gorgeous stuff!

This is easily the best version they’ve done. Needs a good 2 hour decant at this time which suggests a few years left to this one.

Fantastic wine - this was changing the whole 4 hours it was open and feel it has may years left ahead of it. Well made and integrated wine with some fruit still left on the nose.

Took quite a while to open up but really enjoyed it once it did. Still some fruit and the tannins are really soft now. Still no rush to drink these.

Fantastic! This was a pleasant surprise as i didn't know what to expect. Smelled like blowing up a child's beach toy - that sort of wet plastic smell. A bit closed at first but opened up after an hour to give some fresh fruit and licorice notes. Very bold and extremely smooth. Much better than the last bottle i had in 2009.

Great stuff! decanted a couple of hours and that helped a lot from the first sips. A bit funky on opening but really grew with time. Tannins are very much softened now - drink with an hour decant or hold five more years

Decanted 3 hours before tasting and this just improved through the evening. Frech berry notes along with some tannins on opening and then mellowing with time. No rush to drink this.

Really interesting wine. A little low on the fill which is why I opened this one of three first. Cork had lots of mold on top and was soaked through but cam out of the bottle fine. Really musty looking in the glass - certainly looked like an old wine. Bricking at the edges and not clear in the glass. Nose was fairly subdued without any real fruit on the first sniff. First taste in the glass was almost port-like which lessened with time. Very hard to rate this wine as i don't think the bottle was pristine - hope the other 2 are in better shape.

This wine was fantastic. Second time this year I've had it and again did not disappoint. This wine definitely improved after being open and decanted for a couple of hours which is consistent with the first bottle. Very fresh fruit on opening that faded nicely to more earth and smoked meat notes. Certainly no rush to drink any remaining bottles and i think this wine still has a long life ahead of it.

Killer right out of the gate. Still some lingering tannins but very fine. Some fresh fruit on the nose and some floral notes as well. Really in a nice place right now but don't think there's any rush.

Still a bit of life left in this. Some fresh fruit still upon opening and very subtle tannins. Not sure there's really any point in holding.

Wonderful stuff. We had this over the course of an evening and the wine held up all night. Wish we had a whole bunch more of this. Some initial fruit and then a forest floor and earthiness to it that is wonderful. Ignore the drinking window as this has several years left on it.

Excellent stuff! We really enjoyed this after it had been open for an hour. Definitely looked like an aged wine on opening - really brick looking in the glass. On opening it was a bit closed with a funky after taste. Lots of cherry to begin with that turned into a subdued red fruit as well as earthiness after being in the decanter for a while. Really good with no rush to drink the rest - think this has a few more years left in it.

Fantastic! Took a half hour for this to really open up but was rewarded nicely! Still some dark fruit but fading a bit; lots of barnyard and earth as well as that classic Paullac leather. Think these will last another 5 years but not sure much to be gained.

Took to a restaurant and had over the span of 3 hours. Had a 30 minute decant but right off the start this was a great wine. Very soft nose of old spices and some fresh fruit. A bit of bricking giving a hint of the age of the wine. Tannins were very refined in this and the wine has several years left I think but is drinking so well now will be hard to hang on to.

This was a stellar wine that kept moving forward the whole night. It was decanted for 2 hours before drinking with much pleasure and gusto! Some earth and leather and tar but still with fruit one nose and palate. Can't imagine that this will improve with more age as it is so good right now.

Took quite a bit of time for this to open up and and show its stuff but when it did wow! Seemed light on opening with some tannin but not a lot of nose to it. after 4 hours truly fabulous. Some primary fruit and a fair bit of garrigue. This still needs a few years to come together. give it a 93 with the potential to be a 95

Pop and pour which is not the right way to treat this wine right now. A decant is definitely required for this wine. Wonderful primary black fruit and fine tannins that faded an hour in. Truly majestic stuff

Had the last 2 bottles of this the same bight and drastic bottle variation. One was a fantastic bottle while the other was a puzzle. not sure the issue with the poor bottle as both were bought and stored the same time. The good one was REALLY good and the other not so much.

Wow. What else can you say about this wine? From opening until the last drop this was fantastic. Lots of dark fruit and just a hint of earth on the nose and palate that was firm yet unbelievably smooth. A Brunello in a bit different style, more new world than most, that is really enjoyable regardless your desire for a more traditional style. The tannins are integrated fully and not sure that any more time in the cellar is of benefit. Glad I have 3 more but will probably drink 2 of them in the next few months and hold one a couple more years for research :)

Stunning. Had this open about an hour before delving in and were blown away how good this is. No real rush to drink either as this kept changing subtly through the night. one of the nicest bottles of Clos, or any CDP, we've ever had.
